Dear KCT Friends:
The health and safety of everyone in our community is a top priority at KCT. From our patrons to our youth, to our volunteers and staff, we want everyone to stay as healthy as possible during this time of uncertainty with Covid-19. With that in mind, we have a cancellation to share with you.
The KCT Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel auditions (May 4-6) and all performances of Matilda: The Musical, which was to open July 16 and run through August 2.
BUT — we will be moving Matilda to the summer of 2022, so we are excited about that! Just a little postponement!
We are in the process of preparing for the fall with new policies and safeguards in place, so that we can share the magic of live theater with you again soon! We are excited for the new season and will be sending out information about that – as well as some new opportunities for our 43rd Season!
We will communicate any other changes to you via email, as well as through updates to our website and social media pages.
This is a heartbreaking time for all of us and we so appreciate the support you have shown us as we try to make the best decisions we can for the community we love. These decisions impact our staff, our volunteers, our youth, and our audiences.
If you are financially able, we invite Season Ticket Holders to donate the portion of your ticket purchase for this show, since it is part of your season package, and priced accordingly. As you can imagine, cancellations are devastating for arts organizations who rely on ticket sales to stay afloat. Your donation will help KCT to weather this unfathomable storm and be ready to be here for the community when we are able to be back together again.
We ask for your patience as we navigate this process. Our ticket agent, Vendini Tickets, is also working through this as well, as is learning day by day how to make changes to schedules all over the country.
If you wish to donate, you don’t need to do anything.
Otherwise, if you have any questions about Matilda, your season tickets, or any other KCT matters, please use our website (“Contact” menu), or email us at [email protected] Our staff is on a reduced schedule at this time, and we will respond as soon as we are able.
We are so appreciative of your support of the arts and KCT!
Sincerely,
Judy Rozema
